I need your help please...

I have been trying to stick to my handmade pledge and have been making bits and bobs to give as Christmas Presents, one thing I have made are these cotton facecloths:

I followed the pattern that Bethany blogged about, it is for a dishcloth, but with the added crochet flower I think it will pass for a nice facecloth.

Now, I have made a few of these and I want to give them with a nice bar of handmade soap all tied up with a ribbon. This is where you come in, can you recommend any independant handmade soap makers in the UK that I can buy some wonderful soap from. I love the Lush soaps but would prefer a smaller independant supplier, any recommendations?

Hi Kandi! My friend over at French Knots has a dear friend who makes beautiful soaps etc. If you drop her a comment I'm sure she'll pass on her details to you! She's in my blog roll on the right of my page! love these facecloths...keep thinking I'd like one myself. Lots of love, my dear. Amanda xxxx

Wow! I'd be delighted with a fabulous gift like that. I've really got to get cracking on making some Xmas pressies instead of faffing about and thinking about it. xxx

Kandi your facecloths are beautifully made, the addition of the flower makes them look very feminine. As for the soap you have lots of suggestions but you could always try your local farmers market x

Thanks for your message Kandi. Your facecloths are lovely, I'm still struggling on with my scarf. I came across this shop in Keswick last week, very lovely and she does mail order:

I've never found any soaps to even approach Lush for all-round wonderfulness but it looks like you have lots of suggestions here.

The cloths look fab - practical but very pretty too!
