Easter is Coming...

... and with that in mind I picked these little kits up recently and got all stitchy this weekend. Aren't they all bright and happy?
I really enjoy cross stitch, I don't think I would have the stamina for a huge piece but I do enjoy these little kits.

This last one is my favourite, maybe because she is a Fat Chick ;)

These easter ones remined me of some other kits I have stashed away somewhere. Some were finished and some were half done, so I fini
shed them all off(not sure where that little bee came from, she must have been attracted by all the flowers).

I've not got any plans for these perhaps incorporate them into a cushion somehow ~ you just knew I would say cushion didn't you? :)

This weekend I also made a few more teacup candles, they are really sweet and really effective. I made myself one to test them out and I love it, it burns really well and the smell is just beautiful, and as the teacups are all china or glass they also have a glow to them when they are burning.

I have had lots of messages, texts and
emails about making these for people and I am toying with the idea of opening a Folksy shop, what do you think?
I have made lit
tle commissions for people in the past from things I have made on my blog and only when I received so many enquiries about the candles did it occur to me that I should perhaps dip my toes in Folksy. I will of course make for those of you that have asked, but I might have to give a little more thought to a shop.

Let me know what you think, have you sold on Folksy/Etsy etc?

p.s. thank you all so much for your kind words on my last post re. my new hair, you really cheered me up!!

I love the cross stitch Kandi. I love stitching but it takes me ages to finish things!
I was wondering if you would open a Folksy shop, I think you should as your makes are so lovely.

Great stitching honey! My favourite is the fat chick too. You should definitely start selling on Folksy or Etsy. I have opened a shop and keep saying that I'm going to sell but I lack the confidence in my makes. You'll do brilliantly! xx

I love the fat chick, too. He's adorable.
I think you should make a patchwork bag using your beautiful cross-stitch pieces. That way everyone could admire you talent. xxx

That's a hell of a lot of stitching!!!!!! I worked on a kit months and months ago and it is still unfinished.....I am jealous :)

I have sold on Etsy- vintage stuff rather that my own makes, hope to do that when I have more time. It does take a while to set it up and check shipping profile all that sort of stuff. Listing is a bit like ebay but a lot more relaxed. If you get your photos all ready and the right size before it is a lot faster! I also sell on ebay abd I am going to do a Folksy shop soon as well but I only do a little at a time.

I too am guilty of a few unfinished cross stitch project which I started when I was very young. So enthusiastic in the beginning! You should go for the Folksy shop as you already have the demand and all the skills needed for imaging. There's no rent and it's flexible. The only icky bit is the shipping fees which you will need to work out for individual items. What some folks do is they just limit the products to their country to avoid overseas shipping hassle.

My favourite is the fat chick too - reminds me of me at Easter eating all the chocolate!! Wow - you've been busy doing all that mini stitching - where do you find the time?!!

You should definitely open a Folksy shop - I have often wondered why you hadn't got one on the go with all your lovely makes. Jump in - both feet!

Was going to email you about the teacup candles too - seems as though I need to join the queue! Would love a new one (pink preferably) for my new studio. Will let you get organised first though ;-))

xx

Cushion! Cushion! Cushion! (Sorry, that's me chanting in a slightly demented way).

Blimey, Kandi, I thought you already had a shop. You should definitely have one.

Lovely teacup candles. They look stunning.

I meant to comment on your haircut before buy my computer wouldn't let me, so just to say, you look gorgeous with shorter hair.

Hi Kandi,
I've had a few comments from you recenlty but I can't reply as you're a no-reply blogger. I log into my email s to reply to my comments - Blogger automatically forwards them, but some people are no-reply which means there's no email address associated with your profile. If you want to fix it, go to Dashboard and click on Edit profile. Make sure the third tick box down "show email" is ticked and your email address is filled in further down. It wont show on your blog but it does mean people can reply to your comments!
