Afternoon Ladies.
It's still a little manic in my neck of the woods, but I have made time this weekend for a little crafting.
I apologise in advance for yet another cushion, I think I have a problem; but that's my thing at the minute.
I finished this little beauty today, I love cable and it's just so detailed and right at home on my couch.
Here is where I confess; unlike the last cable cushion I made, this one didn't take me month, it took about an hour.
I cheated!
I snaffled this jumper up in the charity shop a few weeks ago and as soon as I saw it I thought cushion!
I snipped and sewed it and crocheted a row on the back to make button holes and added three Grandad buttons from my vintage button box.
I have to also show you this little beauty, I received in the post on Friday from my lovely friend Sue.
What makes this even more incredible is that Sue is sewing after having had an operation on her hand only 3 weeks ago!
Isn't she clever it's a beautiful fabric tray made with the most wonderful shabby roses fabric it's right up my street.
It has now taken pride of place on my messy shelf which is full of my favourite things, it's perfect for keeping my scattered bits and bobs in place.
Thanks again Sue xXx.
I also used it to hold my latest crochet; the softest sweetest little grannie squares for my next cushion, watch this space!
p.s. I just have to send lots of love and light to those affected by the terribe tragedy in Japan, I just can't get my head around the scale of the carnage my heart goes out to them all xXx

Cheat or not it's still lovely! Love the grandad buttons, can't wait to see the crochet one :) xx

Dx
great idea for cushion! it looks fab..
Clever you--I thought you knitted that cushion!
you might have "cheated" but it's still AMAZING and way beyond me!
Lovely cushion honey! Can't wait to see the granny squares one. xx
Absolutely fantastic make and I love your gift, too. xxx
Lovely cushion honey, just goes to show you don't have to be able to knit to make a great cushion ( for us non able people out there). The tray is lovely as well.
Hugs
Pene xx
Love the cushion, the buttons look like maltesers....yum yum!! Lucey xx

I love your cushion! and your lovely gift...I really struggled with that Prima Top pattern...the pieces didn't seem to fit together right so i just made it up, chopping bits off :) Hope you have a great week xxx
That tray is just gorgeous, what a great gift! :)
Well I don't class that as cheating at all - it's no different to making one out of a different form of fabric, is it? Plus it's gorgeous so that's the main thing!
I don't think it's cheating either. You have seen the possibility in the jumper and you have gone to the effort of reworking it into a cushion. Perfect buttons to go with it too.
Lovely little tray from Sue. She is so talented. x
it looks fabulous as a cushion, and i don't think it's a cheat!
and i love the little fabric tray, trying to figure out how to make one now! :)
Loving the cushion hun - loving even more that if used to be a jumper!. Sue's fabric trays are fab aren't they she is a clever little minx x x
I think there are worse problems to have than a cushion obsession!
I have the same problem myself.
I love you cushion, must add I also thought you had knitted it lol but what a clever you for using an old jumper and making something nice :)
