It's coming up to the next Pins & Needles show at the Metro Arena in Newcastle and it made me think ... I bought beads at the last show that I have not even opened and the guilt set in.
I set to and made a few key rings / bag charms as the beads are just to pretty to stay hidden away. These are heavily inspired (read copied) from a keyring that my lovely friend made me recently that I posted about here.
Hearts & Roses
Pearls & Ribbons
Whilst I had the bits out and my crochet stuff to hand I mixed my medias and made some crochet and bead earrings, not sure what I would wear these with.
I have taken a bit of a shine to my last crochet cushion and have made a start on another one in a more muted shade, I have still not finished the huge granny square cushion I really should get one thing done at a time.
Oh, one last thing, I gave in to bloggy peer pressure and bought myself the Rosali Bed set from IKEA last week, I was a little unsure till I got it on the bed and I just love it!! My delightful husband climbed into bed with a bit of a quizzical look and said "You do know we don't live in the 1950's don't you?".
...well I wish we did!
Anyone up this way heading to the Pins and Needles show this time; if you are might see you there?

I see nothing wrong with living in the fifties :)
Aw Kandi...how cute to think that we're snuggling down into identical bedding! xxxx
Those bag charms are lovely, and I'm very jealous that you have Rosali bedding - we're so far from Ikea! x
Ooh your charms are lovely. Sat here watching tutorials on crocheting on you tube oh what a larff mine looks nothing like it!!! OOh I mentioned about the pins & needles show on my last post and wondered if it was worth the trip up??? What sort of stands are there??? I am very tempted for a jolly up there - hmm hope my passport is still valid lol xx
Ooo I love your bag charms. I might look at Pins and Needles.
Husbands don`t understand these vintage/50s/cupcake things do they.... my hubby rolls his eyes at yet more pastel tins/jugs/baskets that get purchased on a weekly basis!I keep saying I want to be as organised as Anthea Turner....
Love the Ikea quilt cover.
Dx
Oh I love the bag charms - might commision a pair to use as nipple tassels!;-P
I love the rosali beding too, I was thinking of buying another set to make light weight curtains with.
Great makes (as usual) :)
I'd love a rosali bed set - however we have a superking sized bed & duvet :(
My men don't get my floral life - I don't under all the willy jokes - guess we're equal ;)
Ha Ha, had to laugh at your hubbies comment! I really like the rosali bed set. Been tempted myself but I reckon that would set my OH over the edge. He doesnt like "girlie crap" as he calls it. x
Oooh thanks so much I didn't realise that was coming up (pins & needles that is). I'm about to try and rearrange some things so I can go on the Saturday. I can imagine a similar comment from my other half - they just don't quite get the pretty floral thing do they?
Love all the "beady-ness"! Your earings would look great with some blue jeans and a white linen shirt.......so fresh and fun!!
Ive got my tickets within arms reach and have a 'fund' for my purchases lol xx

Loving the beads :) x
Thanks for the link xx
I love that quilt cover unfortunately I don't live within a 100 miles of an IKEA, it's most inconvenient but it does save me money.

Oh don't worry about it - I haven't touched any of the beading stuff I bought at Harrogate last year either!
The Pearls & Ribbons keyring is absolutely beautiful.
well done on the makes, those earrings are wonderful!
i have so many projects on the go / left for ages, i wish i had time to get round to them, and i love that duvet set..but i'm not sure i will go all the way there just for that, and i reaally don't need any more furniture!
YOur keyrings are gorgeous. I also have a ton of beads, I've no idea why, they seem to multiply! I should make some of these. Thanks for the idea, consider it stolen ;0)
Men don't get it do they! Lovely keyrings. I'm the same with things that I buy at shows that I just have to have then realise months later I've not touched them! :) x
It's far too easy to forget about these things isn't it. Your bag charms are lovely though and the covers are so pretty. x
Love your bag charms :)
