Fugly Fabric Make... yuk

In the Hobbycraft sale recently I got my hands on this fabric; it was cheap and I just knew my Mother would love it ~ and she did.
In the words of my Granny, 'there's nowt as queer as folk' ~ personally I think it's awful, and perhaps scary at best!!

Imagine spending time working with it, I am a little traumatised!
Mother has an intermittent lower back ache and uses a plug in heat pad, and she has lost the cover for it so requested a new one. Well you guessed it, this is it, lined with some fleece and a velcro top it couldn't be easier.

Oh she was delighted with it ~ honestly I think I would cry if someone brought me this.

There's nowt as queer as folk!?!

Oh my god, they had that same fabric on sale at my local Hobbycraft too! There was also some horrible horse fabric... looks like the horse and cat-loving purchaser for all branches went a bit mad there!

I love cats but cat fabric and other related items are very often creepy as hell. That fabric is the perfect example! Ah well, as long as the recipient likes it.

ps - I can't do eyeshadow either, that photo was taken after a makeover thingy at MAC!

hmm, no i don't think that exactly falls into the 'cute fabric' category, but nice that you found a use for it ;)

There are a lot of cats but cats are good and I'd rather like a dress or maxi skirt just because it's totally silly.
Lovely thing for your Mum though, I bet she's really touched. xxx

Oh. Oh my. I'm a dog person myself. All of these kitties leering at me give me the willies.
And I was sitting here chuckling at the Fugly and WTF you used...that's what I would have said too.

Hahaha, my landlady when I was studying in France had a pair of trousers in that fabric, or one very similar, couldn't believe my eyes at the time. But now I'm thinking ... a skirt ... in a sort of ironic "I know it's hideous" kind of way... ??? Glad your Mam liked it though.

Loving the mental image of you sewing your boys' clothes actually TO them as you do it on the go! You don't iron clothes while they're being worn as well do you?! x

I'm a dog person myself so i'm afraid that wouldn't be allowed in my house, but I know someone who would love it.

I salute you. Not only were you able to touch the fabric, you made something out of it. You're a brave woman.
