The Sales...

The best bit about the lull between Christmas and the New Year is sale shopping. To be honest I don't go in for the fighting on the high street for run of the mill stuff you don't need but my lovely friend and I did have a trip out to our local garden centre 'Heighly Gate' and picked up some bargains in their sale, most of these were half price except the Joules wellies (but they had £10 off) and I did have Christmas money to spend:

A beautiful calendar which is right up my street, vintage railway posters:

Some wonderful tins full of chocolate fudge and toffees ~ I didn't even know what was in the tins when I bought them I just had to have them, very art nouveou and art deco, the one one the left will be a button tin I think and the other is a money box!

Lots of lovely Gisella Graham Christmas ornaments, all half price ~ I put them straight on the tree as I will lose them before next Christmas otherwise.

So I am now spent up but I did enjoy myself and that's what counts isn't it? What mega bargains have you grabbed this January?

~ ♥ Back Soon ♥ ~

You have some lovely stuff there Kandi. Love your wellies. No bargains for me yet. I attempted the shops on boxing day and lasted ten minutes! (Love bargains, hate sales!!) Aint ventured out again since. Still traumatised! x

The wellies are fab - very CK without the mortgage! I too have a passion for Gisella Graham - bough loads of different doggie themed deccies at half price - aren't garden centres the best for deccies!!

Love everything you've bought there Kandi, I'm going garden centre sale shopping on Monday to see if there's any last christmas bits 'n' bobs left.

Lovely wellies and the calendar is rather nice, too.
I got five redcurrant bushes and a blackcurrant bush down to 10p each in Focus and a new ironing board for £10 in Dunelm. The clothes and stuff are still waaaaay to overpriced for me although I'll probably look in TopShop once they've got the 75% off sale. xxx

Love that calender, infact I love it soooo much I'm going to look on the net for it in a mo!

I don't like doing the sales, can't stand all the shoving and 'argy-bargy'. But I do like a bargain so yesterday popped into a nearby garden centre and picked through the left overs. I ended up with white fairy light's to go around the lounge, dining and Em's bedroom mirrors ~ those battery operated ones and a few Gisella G dec's. Biggest bargain came in the shape of a £40.00 pink christmas tree from b&q reduced to.....£4.00, so I could'nt say no really could I? Oh and hub's has treated me to more EB stuff.

Waffle over :0) xxx

You did well there, my dear! I've kind of missed the boat this year with the sales, unless you count practical bargains I bought for the salon, like a telephone for instance...half price. I was hugely excited! xxxx

Oh if I'd known you liked Gisela Graham stuff I would have bagged you some bits from the sale in the shop at work. They were really reduced, plus my 20% off! Oh well, if we have them again this year I'll try and remember.

I used to buy choc tins for the tins but they turned rusty after a while so I'm sticking to cardboard containers.
