Still Hookin'

Well I am continuing on the crochet theme, it has gotten a hold on me. From the magazine I bought that I made the spooky doll from, I followed the pattern for the hats and came up with these. I need to get some practice in for making baby bits and pieces for my friend's baby.

This one was made following the pattern:

For this one I amended the pattern and used two rows of double crochet and 1 row of treble crochet repeated.

These were all made with the wool supplied with the magazine, and they are infants hats aged up to 6 months. They were really easy to do and I loved making them.

These I made using the double and treble stitches and using a cream and white wool which has turned out quite neuteral.

I made a little flower to add, but I have not attached it yet. If I made these for a little boy I would have to leave the flower off or add something else. Any ideas of what I could add for a little boy?

I need to find a pattern for some mittens now.

Oh they're so cute! What is it about teeny baby stuff that makes me smile? I don't even like babies!

Do you take commissions? Everyone seems to be pregnant at the moment and these would make such perfect gifts.

They look lovely. I think I might have that same crochet book...or perhaps I saw it in the shop?! I think your hats are far nicer.

They are beautiful, amy new Mum is going to love those. Could the little boy have a pom-pom on his? I remember my brother's baby stuff being pom-pom trimmed and in a fit of toddler-angst I cut them all off. xxx

These are lovely - going to have to get the hang of crochet in time for my friend's baby coming along in February - to make even a simple blanket!

As for a boy's hat, I second the pompom idea, or how about a crocheted round to look like a little button? Boys are hard, this is why I hope I have girls! xx
