Liberty Cushion and WIP's

I bought this fabric a few weeks ago now and I had meant to get cracking and make a cushion with it.

Each time I got it out I didn't have the heart to cut into it as it was so precious.  It's Liberty and it's so fine and silky I thought it cruel to take scissors to it.

I gave in!

Even the scraps are a delight.

I made this for myself; it will have to live on my bed as I think I would cry if my boisterous kids got jammy hands on it in the lounge.

I'm glad I cut it now...

Have you been over to see Hookin with LaaLaa or Amanda Makes lately?  They have been airing their WIP's for all the world to see.  We all have them some more than others, and I'm also guilty of this.

Here are a few of mine, some almost there, some barely started.

A bit of a hexie theme going on here in three different sizes!

Help is at hand!

I think it is a great idea, I have already told Lynda I will be joining, I'm sure James will be pleased, I think he gets slightly frustrated with the fact that I have started so many projects and not yet finsihed one of them, whoops!!! xxx

Are Liberty prints just as costly over there? I'd love to try it, but it's a wee bit out of the price range to not have an idea for it... But I hear such good things I might splurge :)

Love your cushion chick! So glad you're joining in with the WIPs! Can't wait to see those hexies in all their glory. I'm ready to go with the fabric swap but can't get hold of my partner. Any ideas? Loads of love, Amanda xxxxxxxx

You and Laalaa have made me feel much better about myself today as I have got WIPs too... in fact I really need to write a WIP List - not a lot gets done in my life unless it is on a List (with a capital L!)

Adore your Librty cushion, definitely agree with keeping it in your bedroom

All very pretty as usual Kandi. I wouldn't be able to keep things clean in our house so I can sympathise. Great idea to have a WIP club for motivation.

Beautiful cushion, the fabric is gorgeous. You seem to be able to whip things up in no time at all, I aspire to be as competent as you one day. I only got my sewing machine at the beginning of the year and am a complete novice. I've made half an apron and loads of little lavender bags!

Love the cushion the fabrics are so pretty. And I'm loving the other projects too, I've got so many of my own to finish too. I keep seeing all the pretty little crochet squares everywhere I think I might have to start some of those too, it's a sickness I can't help it.

Definitely have to chack out the UFO support group! Loving the look of the little embroidered house thingy :)

That picture of the bench with your gorgeous cushions and the book and cup of tea looks absolutely idyllic - but I can imagine the boys running about andpunching each other or something just out of shot! :) xx

I love Liberty Fabric. Its next to impossible to find in Alberta, Canada. I did find some in New York when I was there and haven't cut into it yet. Where did you find yours?
