Made In Newcastle

I mentioned the charity auction organised by Made In Newcastle well I gave them a visit yesterday and what a lovely place, this is my idea of heaven. Have a look at all the wonderful goodes for sale, it is a real treasure trove of beautiful handmade delights, I will let the photo's speak for themselves:

Beautiful softies, felt pop tarts, dolls, teddies and trinkets.

And on the way out there was pretty bunting to hide the ugly alarms:

Made In Newcastle can be found at 22 Nun Street, Newcastle City Centre, NE1 5AQ and is open Tuesday to Saturday. For more information visit http://www.madeinnewcastle.blogspot.com/.

This is not just a shop, if you are in the North East and near Newcastle pop in and have a look , I defy you not to find something in there you would want.

Oh, by the way this is the little bundle I left with them for the auction, I hope a few pennies are generated to go towards a good cause.

Charity Auction - Newcastle

I saw a request recently from the Newcastle Craft Mafia.

If any of you talented people are in the North East and are willing; Made in Newcastle are holding a Charity Auction in aid of Crisis Skylight and they are looking for kind donations.

They are looking for art donations of any kind and the donations wil be exhibited in the Made In Newcastle Store between the 21st and the 25th September. The auction will be held on Saturday 25th September at 3pm.

I am planning to take some stuff along, if you are interested please contact them via email or pop into their store at 22 Nun Street, Newcastle Upon Tyne (opposite Reflex, near the Grainger Market).
If you can't dontate and you are in Newcastle they are well worth a look, snipped from their blog:

Made In Newcastle is the inspirational centre for creativity in our city.

Occupying a four story empty shop, Made In Newcastle sells beautiful and interesting work made in Newcastle.

The space has an informal meeting area in which all are welcome and generous workshop space for free use to anyone wanting to run creative events and classes.

Made In Newcastle objects to the monopolisation of our city centre by multi-national companies and to the narrow-minded regeneration policies that have led to this.

This is our city, full of creativity.
Join us and show that Newcastle can make it!'"
