I put my new Mollie Makes calendar up in my crafty cupboard at the start of the month and I couldn't bear to part with the old one. Pages and pages of pretty stuff, just too good to chuck.
Using a little envelope template (google it or make one yourself) I cut out each of the 12 pages drawing around my simple template on the back.
Oskar was helping, but he got bored and napped instead.
Folded them over and with a smidgen of pritt stick I had 12 adorable mini envelopes.
I use mini envelopes to keep my re-used paper hexagons in when paper piecing.
The back page was calling me too, still too pretty to chuck but too thick to make into envelopes.
I found some little key ring blanks in my cross stitch stash and make a new keyring for the back door key.
Had I had enough I could have made dozens, but in the meantime I will hoard these away, too pretty to chuck.
back soon

Pretty! My friend and I used to mail each other letters in envelopes made from pretty catalogues and calendars. It was such a treat to get one in the mail!
A great idea to use them for your hexagons; that way you don't have to give them away:)
I love the key ring idea too.
Have a wonderful weekend,

What a fantastic way to recycle your calendar, thinking what I can use now !!
good idea! After I've had my craft mags for a while, I take them apart and file the patterns I want to make, I could use some of the pretty pages I'm discarding for little envelopes
Gorgeous re-use ideas - they look so pretty!

So very creative of you. I do have that lovely calendar too and can not part with it. Your blog is delightful ....thank you so much for visiting me the other day. Off to take a peek at some of your past posts. Happy New Week to you.
Love these ideas! I've collected calendars for years that need to be made into something. I'm sure anything I made would be given the grunge treatment though! If you need some more of those keyrings, I'm sure I remember seeing a large bag of them in Hobbycraft for just £2. One of the few items in there that is reasonably priced!
