Some Bunny Loves You

I took part in an Easter/Spring themed circle swap over on Instagram recently ‘Some Bunny Loves You’ hosted by Jackie of Polka Dots and Petticoats.
I made a few little gifts to send across to my recipient one of which was this Easter bunny pouch.

The little lined pouch  was made using some Alice in Wonderland Kokka and a little Tilda applique bunny.

It has a matching needle case, I hope it comes in handy.

The swap is done in a circle so you send to one person and receive from someone else.
I received a lovely little parcel of Easter goodies from Joanne of Funky Keepsake

Oskar was very impressed with the empty box.
thanks again Joanne and Jackie x

Sewing for Pleasure and Friends

I have not been completely idle these last couple of months; I have been busy sewing up a few samples for my good friend Lynda (Laa Laa Land) as she is exhibiting at the NEC in Birmingham at the Crafts for Christmas on 7th to the 10th November 2013 (this week).

I got a bit carried away and made Lynda a quilted hanger with her logo inspired by her business card.

Earlier this year I made some mini crochet bunting for the stall.

Can you tell I wish I was going too, this way a little bit of me will be there?

I have been working on some of these for a while now but I couldn't share these until now as Lynda has only recently added them to her online shop.  Some in progress shots.

blocking...

If you are planning to visit the Exhibition do pop over to see her and say hi, she really is a lovely lady, and if you can’t make it you can snaffle up kits and patterns from her online shop here, there are new patterns being added all the time, including these beauties.

and just in time for Christmas

How delightful.

Moo Cards and Cups

First up can I share this delightful gift, my friend Beki from The Ramblings of an Everyday Mummy sent me a lovely package this week with the most incredible vintage teacups in there, they truly are delightful and will take pride of place!

In addition to these delights was the most amazing lush bath fizz, which LaaLaa recognised immediately from it's photo, she's a Lush Lush!

This arrived at just the right time and I enjoyed the best bath I've had in ages ~ thanks again lovely lady!

In other news, my little business cards arrived!  Yay!

They are delightfully sweet and came from Moo Cards.
I ordered some normal sized ones with rounded edges and some mini cards, Moo Cards sent me some 15% off individual codes, if anyone is wanting a discount for your first Moo Cards order drop me a line and I'll give you the code. All codes have now gone x

This left me with a little make ~ a business card holder for my handbag.  I dont want to lug a great walloping box of cards everywhere so I set to with my trusty notebook and made one.

I decided oilcloth would be best as it's hardwearing, then I remembered it's a bugger to sew and I wished I hadn't started.

It was ok, but I thought I could do better so I made another out of fabric and added a little elastic and button closure to this one.

Pimped with Annie's labels.

This was mega simple to make I kind of made it up as I went.  I love the tattoo fabric, I have a thing for tattoos. I've got three ~ hidden away on my back and arm, I would have more but my hubbie hates them with a passion, one day I will get mine altered and pimped, does Cath Kidston do tattoo's?

Have you got one, or do you want one?

Little Vintage Linen Revamp and Gifts

I found the sweetest embriodered cloth at the boot sale a few weeks ago and snaffled it up for pennies!

When I got it home and gently hand washed it I found it was a bit ravaged right in the middle, so I took the scissors to it.  I salvaged three of the four corners and turned them into little stuffed lavender hearts.

I think these will hang next to my bed to see me off into dreamland.

I love making stuff from otherwise useless stuff ~ many a mortal would have chucked that cloth, that makes me smile.

This last week or so I have been making buttony stuff as I took part in Lemonade Kitty's Button Swap.

I really enjoyed making for this one as I love buttons.  I was paired with a lovely lady Maria of Dinky Dots .  This was Maria's first ever Blog swap and she was a bit unsure as to do so we agreed I would make and post my stuff off first to give her an idea of the sort of things we send to each other.

I really enjoyed making for Maria as our tastes differ, it is good to come out of your comfort zone sometimes. The hardest thing about this swap was giving away a bag of chocolate buttons ;0)

Maria has blogged about it here, pop over and have a look she makes some fab stuff.

Yesterday I got a lovely gift from a kind lady who follows my blog, Chrissie aka Ziggy2407.

The softest pink notebook and matching pen with the most adorable necklace

Isn't it adorable, and it's just the perfect length for me too.  I was wearing this all day yesterday and whilst eating my dinner a garden pea escaped my fork skimmed the boobage and popped right into this cage.  I spent a good few minutes shaking it out :)

Thanks very much lovely lady x

p.s. Still planning my giveaway ~ will be back with it soon.
