Flowery Cath Kidston Fabric Makes

As I've joined two swaps I'm in that place where I have been making but can't share just yet.

What I can share is these little treasures, I saw the idea on my new obsession Pinterest and gave them a go.
They are rather sweet and i'm quite pleased with how they turned out, I first saw them here.

My little Cath Fabric Flower Brooches

I have also been making more little lavender mice, I was asked to make these for a customer, but I've popped a few more in the shop as they are quite sweet and several people on twitter have asked me for some.

I've been pottering with cross stitch recently too and I made this little one last week, it's a lavender blossom with a little bee on evenweave stuffed with wadding and beautiful dried lavender.

Not sure where I'll use it yet I like to pop my lavender bags in amongst my fabric stash to keep it all smelling lovely but this one is a little too pretty to shove away in a drawer.

I'm posting my cupcake swap off on Tuesday so I'll be able to share that with you next week.

Little Commission

I was asked to make something for my lovely friend as she wanted something of mine to give to her sister as part of her birthday present.

My scope was, make a couple of little things for her bedroom, perhaps a little lavender mouse and a lavender heart. There was no definite colour mentioned and her bedroom is mainly creams, so I opted for delicate pinks, in these lovely Tilda fabrics.

I love making these little mice they are cute, this time I gave them cream whiskers instead of the thick black ones and before I added their ears I thought they looked like a little pile of shrimps (admittedly the shrimps from the Muppet Show Tonight).

Anyhow, this is them all done and dusted, not sure how many are needed but I usually make a few of the same thing once I have the machine out.

I also made a couple of simple lavender hearts and hand embroidered a little patch for the front onto a lovely cream silk fabric with the word Love, quite appropriate we thought as a sentiment from one sister to another.

I hear she really liked them, Happy Birthday Amy! Xx

p.s. I have noticed that I am creeping towards 150 followers, how amazing thank you all! You know what that means, another giveaway... if there is something you would like to see in my giveway please feel free to let me know and I will rustle something up.

More Lavender Mice

Following completion of my little red spotty mouse, my lovely friend spotted him and wanted one; but in colours that would match her lounge. Hunting through my stash I found some fabrics I thought would match to I set to making a couple more mice.

These are really quick and easy to do; I followed this simple guide on the All About You site.

They were all packed up and ready to go when I realised that I had forgotten to give them whiskers, so they got a last minute overhaul.

I was quite fond of these little fellas but they have gone to a good home; I promise to visit.

E.T.A. a few of you have enquired about the packaging, this is how I usually package my stuff up. I thought I would show you how it is usually done (the one above was taken apart and got rather crumpled up!), simple greaseproof paper cut to the size required and stitched by machine or hand with a little bit of ribbon added: see below, nice and easy, perfect fit and cheap (like me :) ) x

Little Mousey

I have hardly found time for sewing these last few days due to long days at work and things to do at home - like fighting with a new roller blind for over an hour today!!!! I have not done it for ages but I really lost my temper tonight with a blind ~ I flung stuff across the room! Shameful I know. As a treat I then sat myself down with some fabric and lavender and quickly calmed down. The red spotty fabric and some lavender turned into this little lavender mouse, he's a cutie:
