I am still in the grip of cushion addiction. There must be some form of treatment for this, but until I find it I will no doubt continue to churn them out.
This little treasure started a few weeks ago when I made my granny squares cushion, I was engrossed in the TV and forgot to stop, so I stopped trying to stop and got started!

And here we go, another bloody cushion! Poor hubby has just started rolling his eyes at me now on the completion of yet another cushion.
Anyhoo, using what was left of the jumper from the last cushion I made another back for this one, et voila:

On another totally unrelated subject I have had a bit of luck with the bargains these last couple of weeks and have scored myself a cake stand for £1 ~ I have been after one for ages, it's in it's original box I imagine it was a wedding present to some couple many moons ago. It has never been used all the bits are still there, don't you just love the packet the handle comes in?

And this one is my favourite, I can now see myself in Rose Tint, and I look so much better!

My poor husband is exasperated with me, he wondered how many mirrors one house needs? This last one has some minor blemishes where the silver is peeling off the back, which I think adds to the charachter of it.
Husband wanted to know why I bought a mirror with pixel loss ~he's such a geek!

I love the cushions - I am an addict too! The new cushion looks like it is going to be amazing and the colours are gorgeous. You have been very lucky with your finds. I once saw the most amazing cake stand in the charity shop for £3.50 and decided I didn't have room for it but I'm still regretting not buying it over a year later :)
ReplyDeleteLol at your husband's comment as it just the sort of thing my husband would say! The last mirror is my fave too! :)
ReplyDeleteYour post made me chuckle today Kandi! I have visions of you all disappearing under a mountain of cushions! Mind you, I am of the 'you can never have too many cushions' camp - so am with you on that one! Love that cake stand - what a find - it's just sublime! xx
ReplyDeleteLove love loving those mirrors, im on the look out for a rose glass one - great finds! Scarlett x
ReplyDeleteI used to have one of those makeup mirrors with the 4 different light settings. I always put it on the pink one because it made me look the best...my sister used to yell at me "Your makeup will look wrong! You need neutral lighting!" and so on. Now that she's older she sings a different song, hahaha.
ReplyDeleteCan you sit on your sofa with so many cushions on it? lol. We can't have any decent cushions in our house 'cos they get used in cushion fights by my boys (and us!) BTW My husband would also say similar comments to yours.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cushions, I'm not surprised you're addicted to making them when they turn out so beautifully!
ReplyDeleteThose mirrors are fab, I can't resist an old mirror, they look wonderful all hanging from the same wall. xxx
A girl can never have too many cushions or mirrors! The cushions all look fab and your bargains are all brilliant! xxxxx

ReplyDeleteOh Kandi, I love your cushions. Keep at it is what I say. Love those mirrors too - a definite bargain. There's one similar in style to the first two for sale in my local charity shop for a ridiculous £60!
